They say joy is not affected by your circumstances or situation.
As a child of God or woman of faith, we are told to rejoice in the Lord.Rejoice in the sense that never ever be sad … you just keep dancing and thanking God because of who he is. ( Perfect love )
Some months or phases in life are definitely tougher than others, so we often forgot this commandant which is to simply to rejoice. I am as guilty of this as the next person, some days some situations get me a bit cranky. Believe me, cranky me is not someone you want to meet.
I will never admit to this but this friend of mine came to stay with me for what was supposed to be just a week or 2 but I somehow turned into 2 months. She was stranded or kinda homeless due to some situations.But every morning she got up rejoicing, singing and thanking God & for what she had while praying for what she wanted.She was really living by faith. I will be the 1st one to admit … That I am not a morning person. (As a physio you would think I would be right? WRONG !!!)
God knows that she used to get on my last nerve. When I say the last nerve I mean the very last one.. Then she would proceed to dance all over it.!! Until one morning while on the bus to placement. I read my daily devotional which talked about rejoicing.Then I finally got it. I calmly said a thank you prayer for all my many blessings .
Since then I have been learning to rejoice. Rejoicing makes everything better. For some reason, it didn’t matter. That I was tired from being up at 4:00 AM to study before placement. I just had pure joy the rest of the day.All my problems became irrelevant simply because I had chosen to rejoice instead of worrying.
I rejoice because I run things with the one who owns tomorrow
My favourite verse right now is Isiah 43 VS 2 #TeamJesusalldayeveryday
When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you; your troubles will not overwhelm you.
When you pass through fire, you will not be burned;
the hard trials that come will not hurt you.
As always hope this touches someone’s heart xx
